INTRODUCING THE FUJIFILM X-A10: THE COMPACT LIGHTWEIGHT AND STYLISH MIRRORLESS DIGITAL CAMERA

The X-A10 delivers the X Series’ premium image quality in any shooting conditions with ease, making it the ideal choice for a first interchangeable lens camera

FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) has announced that it will launch the mirrorless digital camera, the FUJIFILM X-A10; a new addition to the X Series range of cameras that deliver outstanding picture quality.

Despite its compact and lightweight design, the X-A10 combines a 16.3 megapixel sensor with the company’s colour-reproduction technology, refined over more than 80 years, to deliver the premium image quality synonymous to the X Series with ease.  This makes the X-A10 an ideal first interchangeable lens camera.

Combining a 16.3 megapixel sensor and Fujifilm’s colour-reproduction technology, refined over more than 80 years, to deliver premium picture quality - The X-A10 combines a 16.3 megapixel APS-C sensor with the image processing engine that achieves Fujifilm’s excellent photo quality. Sharp FUJINON lenses that boast ultimate image resolution, and the proprietary colour-reproduction technology, refined over more than 80 years, allows users to capture premium quality images in any shooting conditions.  Fujifilm is particularly renowned for accurately reproducing skin tones, and the X-A10 is built with this advanced skin tone reproduction capability, allowing you to produce high-quality portraiture.

180-degree slide-and-tilt LCD with 100% visibility for facilitating “self-portraits” - The rear LCD employs the slide-and-tilt mechanism so that even when it is tilted by 180 degrees, the LCD is not blocked by the camera, allowing for 100% visibility.  The grip is shaped to accommodate both normal shooting and self-portraits.  When taking a self-portrait, you can focus and release the shutter by pressing the vertical command dial found directly below your index finger to minimise camera shake.  Rotating the tilting LCD upward by 180 degrees activates the Eye Detection AF to automatically adjust the focus on the subject’s eyes.  The X-A10 also features the Portrait Enhancer mode for natural and beautiful skin-tone reproduction.

Compact and lightweight camera body with retro design and intuitive operability - The compact and lightweight X-A10 sports a retro design. The use of two Command Dials means you only need a thumb to quickly adjust aperture, shutter speed and exposure settings.  Frequently used functions such as white balance, continuous shooting and the self-timer can be assigned to standalone function buttons, eliminating the need to go through the Menu screens to change settings.

Inheriting FUJIFILM X-A2’s popular performance features - Its energy-efficient design means the X-A10 is capable of shooting approx. 410 frames on a single battery charge.  When fitted with the standard zoom kit lens “XC16-50mmF3.5-5.6 OIS II,” the camera offers the class-leading minimum working distance of approx. 7cm from the front edge of the lens, allowing close-up macro photography.

Product features:-

-Outstanding image quality, made possible by the newly-developed 16.3 megapixel image sensor

-Designed for perfect self-portraits

-Extended battery life of approx. 410 frames per charge

-Class-leading minimum working distance

-Super Intelligent Flash

-Full HD video recording

-Versatile shooting functions including the electronic shutter with the maximum speed of 1/32000 sec

-Wireless communication functionality enables remote shooting from smartphones and tablet devices*1

*1 AndroidTM smartphones and tablet devices as well as iPhones and iPads

AVAILABILITY:-FUJIFILM X-A10 with XC16-50mmF3.5-5.6 OIS II kit will be available from January 2017.

CHRISTMAS GIFT: POLAROIDS NEXT GENERATION INSTANT DIGITAL CAMERA - THE NEW POLAROID SNAP TOUCH

With a 3.5" LCD Touchscreen Display and App-Driven Creative Control - Polaroid Once Again Redefines Sharing for the Digital Age with the New Polaroid Snap Touch

Instant photography has been at the heart of the Polaroid brand for nearly 80 years, and today it is reimagined with the Polaroid Snap Touch instant digital camera. With the Polaroid Snap Touch, Polaroid is able to offer the traditional instant photography experience it's known for with new features specifically aimed at today's digital user. The Polaroid Snap Touch follows in the footsteps of the highly successful first generation Polaroid Snap.

Snap, Print and Share - Taking the Polaroid Snap to the next level, the new Polaroid Snap Touch incorporates a wide range of updated features for an enhanced instant experience. Updates include the addition of a 3.5" LCD touchscreen for framing shots and navigating the camera's menu, a new and improved 13 megapixel CMOS sensor for higher-quality images as well as 1080p full HD video recording capability. All images and video are stored on a micro SD card (up to 128GB) to allow for sharing later.  Integrated within the Polaroid Snap Touch is a printer which uses ZINK® Zero Ink Printing Technology. This gives consumers the ability to capture and instantly print full-color, 2x3" photographs, all at a significantly lower cost than traditional instant film prints. Of course the new Polaroid Snap Touch is ideal for today's selfie shooters thanks to a self-timer and the addition of a fun selfie mirror that ensures the user is framed perfectly in the shot. Additionally, the instant digital camera offers three color modes—black and white, color, and vintage sepia—with the option to print with or without the iconic Polaroid Classic Border Logo.

Bluetooth Enabled for Even More Versatility - Thanks to Bluetooth connectivity and integration with the Polaroid Print App, users are no longer limited to just printing photos captured by the camera itself.  Using Bluetooth and the app, users can now pair the Polaroid Snap Touch with other devices such as smartphones and tablets to transform the device into an instant photoprinter. The app, available free for iOS and Android, will also give users the ability to edit and enhance images saved on other mobile devices using a number of creative filters, digital stickers, effects and controls, and then print via the Polaroid Snap Touch. Exploring the Polaroid Print App allows users to unlock trophies and other fun hidden features. No matter what device their images are taken with, they'll be able to share the fun with their own creative flair.

The Polaroid Snap Touch was designed in partnership with renowned design firm, Ammunition, the studio that was also behind the Polaroid Zip instant photoprinter and Polaroid Cube and Polaroid Cube+ lifestyle action cameras. With the Polaroid Snap family of instant digital camerasAmmunition created a sense of continuity between classic Polaroid cameras and current Polaroid products. Led by industrial designer Robert Brunner, Ammunition is the design studio behind award-winning consumer brands including Adobe, Beats by Dre, Square, Lyft, and Williams-Sonoma.

ZINK Zero Ink® Printing - Also debuting at Photokina is the Polaroid rainbow border 2x3" premium ZINK Paper®. The camera's ZINK-enabled printer uses heat to activate and colorize cyan, yellow and magenta dye crystals embedded in the paper. The result is full-color, high quality, long-lasting and smudge-proof images without ink cartridges, ribbons or toner. The latest version of ZINK Paper features five fun, brightly colored borders reminiscent of the familiar white Polaroid Classic Border Logo the brand is famous for. The colored border will automatically appear around the image after a photo is printed. In addition to the new Polaroid Snap Touch, the Polaroid rainbow border 2x3" premium ZINK Paper is compatible with the first generation Polaroid Snap and Polaroid Zip instant photoprinter.

ZINK 2x3" photos print in just under a minute so consumers can instantly share the photo with their friends and family. Additionally, ZINK Paper is adhesive backed so the photo can be used as a sticker as well.

The ‘Polaroid Snap Touch’ Instant Digital Camera - is now available for pre-order for  €199.99 form all of the following:- Conns Cameras, The Carmera Centre, Whelan Carmeras, Sam Mc Cauley’s and O’leary Camera World.
