DATE ANNOUNCED FOR THE SUIR VALLEY PHOTOGRAPHIC CLUBS CHALLENGE 2017 |
|
The
annual Suir Valley Photography Challenge will be held on Saturday the 2nd
December 2017 in the Carraig Hotel, Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary.
The
competition is organised by Carrick Camera Club in association with Clonmel,
Thurles and Waterford camera clubs. The competition is confined to members of
these clubs only.
 There
are two sections A and B in the competition. Section A is the club entry and will
consist of eight prints. One print shall be selected from each of the following
themes Mono, Street photography, Open, Landscape / Seascape, Close up,
Architecture, Portrait, Irish Nature (flora, fauna and animals. Photos must be
taken in Ireland with no captive or domestic animals include). Each print must
be taken by a different club member.
Section B is for
individual club members who may enter one image each. There are three
categories Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. The theme is open.
All
photographs / images to be taken between October 16th 2016 and
October 15th 2017.
Winning
club will receive the SVC trophy
Everyone
is invited to attend from 1 pm!

COIS LI CAMERA CLUB IN CO KERRY ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THEIR FIRST EXHIBITION
|
|
Inaugural
Photography Exhibition - will take place in the Kerry County Library
Headquarters, Moyderwell, Tralee from December 14th to 20th.
Our
club is coming up just one year old since being started by Elayne Van Keulen
from Castlegregory, a village just outside Tralee, Co Kerry.
 
We
have 20 member and are growing all the time. New members are always welcome and
we promise to make it a fun club to be a part of, anything else is a bonus. We
have had guest speakers, workshop with more experienced members and lots of
days out shooting too. We are doing very well and have just entered our first
competition as a club, The National Shield due to take place in Limerick in two
weeks.
Official opening by Norma Foley,
Mayor of Tralee will take place on 14th December @ 6:30 p.m. in the Library.
We would like to extend an invitation
to any members of the SACC and IPF that would like to come along and see how
our budding club is blossoming.
We look forward to sharing many more
exciting times as we venture forth to 2018.
