KODAK ALARIS IS NOW LAUNCHING ITS -COLLECT IN STORE- SOLUTION TO IRISH KODAK KIOSK OWNERS IN ITS FULL FORMAT

October 2016 – Kodak Alaris have recently extended their Net to Retail concept to the Irish photo retail market.

The solution enables customers to create personalised photo products for collection at their local retailer in as little as an hour through the Kodak Moments App.

The App is available free of charge to iPhone as well as Android users and can be downloaded to smartphones and tablets. After installing the Kodak Moments App on their device, users choose where to print their photos based on their shopping behaviour.

Depending on the customer’s location at the time of ordering there are three options. When using the App in-store at a photo retail business supporting the Net to Retail solution, the customer can directly connect to a kiosk for instant printing. While this option was previously available to the Irish market, the Kodak Moments App is now accessible in its full extension for Irish customers. In addition to the in-store service, products can be ordered for Pick-Up Instore or for Delivery to Home, both of these options can be chosen from any location within the UK and Ireland. After selecting their preferred option of collection, customers create their photo product directly on their device, choosing from a wide range of prints, photobooks and other photo gifting products.

Signing up for Net to Retail as a retailer comes at no cost while Kodak Alaris automatically receive a share of each order placed through the Kodak Moments App.

With over 20 million global downloads since its launch, the Kodak Moments App has not only given existing customers of high-street stores a new interface to place their orders but also brought new customers into existing stores. Considering the average order placed through Net to Retail has an order value of €8, this new option generates 46% higher revenue than orders entirely processed in store.

To support stores with promoting the Kodak Moments App, Kodak Alaris runs a variety of marketing activities throughout the year such as promotions available exclusively on the app as well as instore marketing assets.

Businesses offering professional Kodak photo products can easily join Net to Retail by emailing Kodak Alaris through net2retail@kodakalaris.com or contacting Tetenal through marketing@tetenal.uk.com as they manage the Kodak Express network in the UK and Ireland and offer support to stores joining Net to Retail.

App - Also an online form where retailers can Register for the App: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/LYYLWQL

THE OPEN HOUSE DUBLIN (OHD) PHOTOGRAPHY COMPETITION IS NOW OPEN TO ARCHITECTURE AND PHOTOGRAPHY ENTHUSIASTS

Our architecture and photography enthusiasts will be pleased that we’re running the Open House Dublin (OHD) photography competition again in 2016.

This year the focus of the competition are the buildings that are featured in the OHD 2016 programme. We’re also looking for photos that show how we engage with, are inspired by and interact with buildings.

The Theme - The Presence of the Past - How do buildings tell a story of the development of Dublin, from a social, cultural and political perspective? In this celebratory year of revolution leading to Irish independence, we also want to reflect, remember and reimagine the city through Ireland biggest architecture festival.  The Presence of the Past aims to tell the story through a contemporary lens of how cities are created and developed over time and the people that participate in the construction, design, development and of the built environment. It will also seek to uncover aspects of the past that we can implement in future built environment strategies and policies.

This year’s Open House Dublin will reveal how we plan and build our environment conveys a lot about our priorities at a given time in history, society, politics and culture. Therefore, architecture is more than a physical material that can be measured in centimetres. It is also about experience, memory and aesthetics, both immeasurable qualities, but crucially important in establishing and communicating the value of architecture to an audience.

The Presence of the Past explores the central role of architecture in our society, how it frames and structures the patterns and practices of our collective life, from domestic to civic, from personal to public.

Competition Criteria - Creativity, quality of photograph and relevance to the theme.

Prize Categories - Best overall photograph | 10 Runners-up | Other commendations awarded at discretion of Jury.

Prizes - Cash Prize | 10 Runner up prizes provided by sponsors & partners

To Submit - Upload your images to Open House Dublin's page on Instagram using #openhousedublin - Upload as many as you like over the weekend and up to and until October 21st, 2016

The top photographs will be selected by a panel jury, with the winner announced on Friday 4th November

Closing date for entries: midnight October 21st, 2016.
